This short but fun melody is inspired by the vibrant shade of blue of the Caribbean.

The chords underneath are simple I IV and V chords that most students would be familiar with, but the syncopated rhythm is what gives it its flavor or hue. The rhythm does not change, so once the student has it mastered in the left hand, it’s time to add the fun, island-inspired melody.
